چکیده

In this study, AA 6063 aluminum was joined using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding with a butt joint. The ER-5356 filler metal feeding method is used intermittently to find its effect on weld geometry, mechanical properties, microstructure, and chemical composition. dimensions of the specimens in study were 120 mm × 50 mm, thickness 3 mm. ratio configuration feed time delay time. length wire varied from 4 6. top bead width back decreased by 17.66% 40.33%, respectively. At 6, it has largest cross-sectional area 295.37 ± 27.60 mm2. results show that general tensile strength proportional ratio, but difference not significant, only around ±8 MPa. microstructure formed each different characteristics; conversely, grains relatively coarse structure have hardness values. composition test shows directly correlates magnesium’s average weight content, where content magnesium value tends be homogeneous all areas (WM).

Optimization of Weld Bead Width in Tungsten Inert Gas Welding of Austenitic Stainless Steel Alloy

This paper investigates the effects of process parameters on weld bead width of austenitic stainless steel SS-310 in tungsten inert gas welding. The four parameters namely welding current, type of gas, gas flow rate and included angle of weld plates during butt joint were varied at three levels. The DOE approach was used to design experimental conditions. Orthogonal array L9 was used for carryi...
